Position Title:        Resident Care Trainer

 

Position Status:     Full Time and Part Time

Position Description

 

The Resident Care Trainer position entails assisting residents with their daily personal care needs and household tasks, as well as conducting formal and informal training with our residents to increase independent living skills.

 

The position also includes regular activities both in the home and in the community. The Resident Care Trainer is directly responsible for the supervision, care and training of the residents.

 

Specific responsibilities concern the residents health, personal care and safety, community and family relations, programs and training, housekeeping, nutrition and food service.

 

This is an ideal position for someone interested in furthering their career and experience in the medical or social service related fields. The position scheduling may include weekend, night, and holidays.



Job Duties

 

Cleaning, cooking, instruction, paperwork, transportation of residents,
assisting with medication, providing first aid when needed, assisting
adults with personal hygene, bathing, dress, lavatory needs, and
provide supportive listening.


Qualifications


  • At least 18 years of age 

 

  • Graduation from an accredited high school, or possession of a G.E.D.
 
  • Possession of a valid Washington State Driver's License
 
  • Qualified to legally work in the United States
 
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
 
  • Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
 
  • Must be able to clearly communicate, read, and write in English
 
  • Must be able to interview and/or receive training during regular business hours
 
  • Must be able to receive additional training as the need arises to remain in compliance with state and federal regulations
 
  • Ability to attend monthly staff meetings
 
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
 
  • Ability to accept supervision in a cooperative and positive manner
 
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
 
  • Ability and willingness to prepare meals and perform household chores to an acceptable standard
 
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of all individuals involved
